Eric, in Chesterville, likes this recipe because it’s fun and easy to make. He enjoys dipping apples into his yogurt, but you could also stir in blueberries or other chopped fruit. This is an easy way to jazz up plain yogurt.

Preparation Time: 5 minutes

Serving Size: 3/4 cup (175 mL)

Makes: 1 serving 

Ingredients

Plain low fat yogurt 

3/4 cup (175 mL) 

Crushed pecans 

1 Tbsp (15 mL)

Canadian maple syrup 

1 Tbsp (15 mL)

Cinnamon

1/4 tsp (1 mL)

Apple, cored and cut into wedges

Directions

  1. In a bowl, stir together yogurt, pecans, maple syrup and cinnamon.
  2. Serve with apple wedges to dip into.
