Here are the finalists in our People's Choice - Easy Home Cooking Recipe Contest. Please vote for your favourite.  Think about taste, appearance, preparation and ingredients.  Would you make it at home? Would your family like it? Which one would you try? 

The recipes below include a picture and a description of the recipe.  Once you've decided on the one you like best, scroll down to the poll at the bottom of the page to place your vote.  Votes are anonymous but you may only vote once per device. Read more about the contest and the rules.

The recipe with the most votes will be the winner of a $100 prize pack.  Voting is open until November 21. 

1. This recipe is called Turkey Meatballs with Zucchini Noodles.  Flavoured with garlic, basil and oregano, the meatballs are made with ground turkey, zucchini and carrots. The zucchini noodles are made with a spiralizer and are a fun way to eat your vegetables. This is gluten free and freezer friendly. Submitted by Michelle B. in Timmins, Ontario.

2. This recipe is called Sweet Harvest Muffins.  Not your typical muffin recipe, it's made with applesauce, pumpkin, zucchini and flax seed.  Make a double batch for the freezer.  Submitted by Lesley M. in St. John's Newfoundland.

3. This recipe is called Oven Baked Granola Bars.  These nut free homemade granola bars are made with dates, chia seeds, sunflower seeds, coconuts and dried apricots. Make a double batch to freeze. Submitted by Martina H. in Bancroft, Ontario.

4. This recipe is called Proudly Canadian Beet and Barley Salad.  This colourful salad is made with beets, carrots, barley, mint, goat cheese, cucumber and green onion.  Submitted by Sonia F. in Windsor, Ontario.

5. This recipe is called Squash Bowl.  It's a play on a rice bowl except with spaghetti squash as your base. Top with carrots, mushrooms, avocado and salmon and toss with kimchi mayo. Submitted by Robyn T. in Kelowna, British Columbia.

6. This recipe is called Flex Flax Muffins.  These muffins are made with flaxseed, hemp hearts, wheat bran, apple and zucchini.  Make a double batch for the freezer.  Submitted by Evelyne M. in Calgary, Alberta.

7. This recipe is called Colourful Bean and Lentil Salad.  This high fibre salad is make with black beans, green lentils, corn, onions and peppers tossed in an apple cider vinegar dressing.  Submitted by Meghan S. in Cambridge, Ontario.

8. This recipe is called Autumn Carrot Basil Soup.  This seasonal soup is made carrots, apples and a surprising ingredient, peanut butter! Submitted by Yulena W. in Ancaster, Ontario.

9. This recipe is called Lentil Salad with Citrus Maple Dressing This salad is made with green lentils, tomatoes, celery, carrots and parsley tossed in a lemon maple dressing.  Make double for leftovers. Submitted by Gina S. in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

10. This recipe is called Simple and Easy Dahl.  This lentil dish is spiced with turmeric, cumin, cinammon and chili powder for extra heat.  Make a double batch to have leftovers. Submitted by Ye Ting T. in Red Deer, Alberta.

11. This recipe is called "Clean out the Fridge" Veggies and Spicy Peanut Noodles.  Rice noodles are tossed in a spicy peanut sauce and then topped with cabbage, onions, carrots, mushrooms, eggs and hemp hearts. Keep it simple by making it in one big pot.  Submitted by Mae Jhelene S. in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

12. This recipe is called Manitoba Minestrone Soup.  Along with beans, this soup is jam packed with vegetables such as onions, celery, carrots, Swiss chard, potatoes, tomatoes and pumpkin. Flavoured with thyme, worchestershire sauce and mustard. Make a double batch and freeze. Submitted by Karen O. in Beausejour, Manitoba.

13. This recipe is called Kookoo Sabzi.  This Persian favourite is made by baking eggs with chives, walnuts and a fresh herb mixture of parsley, dill and cilantro. Submitted by Niloufar F. in Richmond, British Columbia.

14. This recipe is called Easy Red Lentil Dahl.  Flavour this lentil soup with cumin, mustard seeds, ginger, turmeric and fresh chili. Top with cilantro. Make a double batch for the freezer.  Submitted by Whitney H. in New Westminster, British Columbia
