2017 Kids Recipe Challenge Winning Recipe: 2nd Place! [Breakfast]
This popular food trend makes gluten free families super happy. For a large family use the oven to pre-bake the slices so you can simply pop them in the toaster first thing in the morning. Or enjoy them as a snack after school while chatting about the kids’ day.
Kasey who’s in grade 4 in Toronto says this recipe tastes so good when the almond butter is warm and melty and you can taste the sweetness of the banana and sweet potato. Give it a try!
Preparation Time: 5 minutes

- Toaster Variation: Kids can pop slices of sweet potato into the toaster. It will take a few times in a standard toaster to get the slices soft enough. Let cool and repeat with remaining slices.
