Yogurt Granola Mountain

This is truly a kid’s delight! Each child that makes this treat will create their own unique mountain of flavour. Meera, from Thornhill, thinks kids will like this recipe because it is new and different and it’s fun to make.

Preparation Time: 5 minutes

Serves: 1

Ingredients

Strawberries or raspberries

½ cup (125 mL) 

Pear

1/2 medium

Plain non-fat Greek yogurt

½ cup (125 mL)

Ice cream cone

1

Low-fat granola

¼ cup (60 mL)

 

Directions

  1. Wash hands with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds. Clean all countertops and equipment used for food preparation.     

  2. Gently rinse berries and pear under cool running water. Core and dice pear; set aside. 

  3. Place yogurt in a mound on a plate. Place ice cream cone on top to look like a mountain. 

  4. Sprinkle granola all around.  

  5. Place berries and pear around the base of mountain.

    1. Try different types of fruit and granola to make this dessert your own!
