Using different fruit you can create different animals. It’s fun to create on your plate! A perfect activity at your next kids’ party.

Preparation Time: 5 minutes

Makes: 1 serving 

Tips

  1. Substitute apple butter or low fat cream cheese for the peanut butter.
  2. Make a fuzzy moose by sprinkling some toasted shredded coconut all over the face.

Ingredients

Green grape 1 large 
Apple 1 slice
Peanut butter 1 Tbsp (15 mL)
Whole wheat English muffin

Banana

2 slices

Raisins

Clementine 

2 segments

Pretzel twists

Directions

  1. Wash hands with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds. Clean all countertops and equipment used for food preparation.    
  2. Gently rinse the grape and the apple under cool running water. Cut the apple in half then slice 1 piece for the moose mouth.
  3. Spread peanut butter on one side of English muffin and place on plate.
  4. Place banana slices near top for eyes and place raisins in centre of banana slices.
  5. Use the clementine slices over the banana slices for eyebrows.
  6. Position the grape for a nose and the apple slice for a mouth.
  7. Place the pretzel twists on top side of English muffin to make antlers.
