Banana Yogurt Jam Wrap Up

2013 Kids Recipe Challenge Winning Recipe: 3rd Place! 

After school snack: Grades 1 to 3

Tori, from Toronto, loves this recipe because not only is it delicious and yummy, it is fun to make!  

This is quick to prepare and kids can have fun mixing the jam and yogurt and rolling up the wrap. Perfect to tuck into your lunch or enjoy after school.

Preparation Time: 5 minutes

Makes: 1 wrap 

Tips:

  1. Try other fruit, like blueberries, or another seasonal fruit for a change of flavour.

Ingredients

Banana 1 small
Plain greek yogurt    

2 Tbsp (30 mL) 

Strawberry jam 

1 Tbsp (15 mL)

Whole wheat tortilla  

1 small

Directions

  1. Wash hands with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds.  Clean all countertops and equipment used for food preparation.
  2. Gently rinse banana under cool running water, then peel and set aside.
  3. In a small bowl, stir together yogurt and jam. 
  4. Spread evenly over tortilla and place banana along edge and roll up. Cut in half to serve.
