Tannins

Vegetable-based compounds found in tea and wine.

Trans Fat

Trans fat is a fat found in foods. Trans fat is made when a liquid vegetable oil is changed into a solid fat – such as when vegetable oil is made into hard margarine. Eating too much trans fat can increase your risk of developing heart disease.

Triglycerides

a type of fat found in your blood that is affected by what you eat and drink. High triglyceride levels increase your risk for developing heart disease.

Type 1 diabetes

Type 1 diabetes is when the pancreas makes little or no insulin. To treat the disease, a person must inject insulin into their body and test their blood glucose levels often. Type 1 diabetes is usually diagnosed in children and teenagers. About 10% of people with diabetes have Type 1 diabetes.

Type 2 diabetes

A disease characterized by high levels of sugar in the blood. It occurs when the body does not respond correctly to insulin, a hormone released by the pancreas. Type 2 diabetes is the most common form of diabetes.

Tyramine

A natural by-product from the breakdown of the amino acid tyrosine. It is found naturally in fermented and aged foods such as cheese and wine.
